This section is about Sizing & Estimation methods and techniques:
books FSM: an updated list of most known Functional Size Measurement (FSM) methods, moving from the IFPUG Function Point Analysis (FPA) till COSMIC method, from an historical perspective with more controversial issues.
books Effort Estimation: sizing a whatever entity of interest is just the first step of the process. The final goal is to use those measures for determining the needed effort and costs.
books PSU: FSM methods are able to size the software product FUR (Functional User Requirements), and do not represent the project size. PSU (Project Size Unit) is a general-purpose project management-based technque for catching the whole project scope.

Most of those referred sources are available from the web for free download.
